Hi, my name is Kevin Steel. I have lived in Aberdeen, Scotland for the last 20 years - previously hailing from the Isle Of Lewis, Stornoway.
This site serves as a useful place to collect my ongoing writings and for you lucky people to learn more about me ;)
Background
I'm a fully qualified ACCA accountant who has worked in both practice and industry.
I set up an accounting firm which I operated for a number of years before securing a successful sale.
Interests
In my spare time, I'm working on committing to writing more regularly on my Substack and building an online presence.
I love gaming (Overwatch, FIFA, Tekken, Soul Calibur) and I'm a huge fan of boxing.
My other interests include personal finance, Fintech, investing, reading, writing, design, emerging technologies and business.
Current Role
I'm currently co-founder of a company called Inaequo (means "level up" in Latin!) which offers a combination of compliance accounting and Virtual Finance Director services.
Inaequo is aimed at investment-backed startups and high growth potential companies. I'm your main point of contact for everything - an entrepreneurial chartered certified accountant who has already run and sold their own business.
